Hey! I'm Fiona, a current medical student at the University of Sheffield. In 2020, I found out I had a brain tumour that was causing me to have seizures - post-surgery, my brilliant female neurosurgeon was ultimately the reason I chose to pursue medicine. Since then, I have achieved 4A*s at A-Level, presented research at national medical conferences, published in world-leading academic journals and shared my journey on social media... showing the world that you CAN do it all. As a first-gen student doctor and gap year advocate, I hope to educate others who will walk the same path as me.
